"Ben Is Back" To Be Screened at GIFF

Greenwich International Film Festival (GIFF) will host a screening of the film Ben is Back on Monday, December 17 at 7:30 PM. This drama was shown and nominated for awards at The Toronto International Film Festival.

In this film, Ben Burns (Academy Award Nominee, Lucas Hedges) surprises his family by returning home on Christmas Eve. In hopes of her son staying clean, Ben’s mother, Holly (Academy Award Winner, Julia Roberts) welcomes him back with open arms. In 24 hours, tumultuous new truths are revealed, and a mother's undying love for her son is tested as she does everything in her power to save and protect her son.

Ben is Back also stars Courtney B. Vance (The People V. O.J. Simpson: American Crime Story) and Kathryn Newton (Lady Bird).

A cocktail reception at AHSA will take place at 6 PM prior to the movie, along donating 10% of all purchases made at the reception to GIFF. A Q & A session will follow the screening with Film Director and Writer, Peter Hedges. Ben is Back will be screened at the Bow Tie Cinemas in Greenwich, CT.

Peter Hedges, Film Director and Writer of Ben is Back, has produced numerous works which include What’s Eating Gilbert Grape and About a Boy.

This unique evening, and is just another example of the fine and unique programming that the Greenwich International Film Festival offers to the public.
