The Ridgefield Theater Barn closes its 60th season with a hilarious production of "Moon Over Buffalo". Running through June 21st., the show is presented Friday and Saturday evenings at 8pm, with two Sunday matinees - June 8th and 15th - at 5pm.
Written by American playwright, author, and screenwriter, Ken Ludwig, "Moon Over Buffalo" follows in the tradition madcap comedy of his previous smash hit "Lend Me Tenor". This over-the-top show is directed by Diana Canova and centers on George and Charlotte Hay, fading stars of the 1950s. Chaos ensues when great movie director Frank Capra travels to Buffalo, NY, to see if he wants cast them in his movie remake of "The Scarlet Pimpernel". George and Charlotte do everything in their power to make Capra love them.
The 8 person cast worked brilliantly together to successfully execute the outrageous and high energy scenes that occur throughtout the play. The cast includes: Fred Rueck as George Hay, Gillian Holt as Charlotte Hay, Elayne Gordon as Ethel, Julia Preis as Rosalind, Seth von Schmidt as Howard, Clara Sussmann as Eileen, Matthew Donavan as Paul, and Timothy Huber as Richard.
